Covered Bridge - Workshop Painting

Workshop painting? Do I still take lessons? Of couse. Always push for learning more, or something that I didn't catch before, or maybe just a good refresher. So even though I'm traveling and living fulltime in my RV, I still try to catch a class when I can. 

This was a fun exercise, with all the colors of the bushes and trees, the covered bridge and the mountains, and all the while trying to incorporate those colors in each area so all blended well together. I was pleased with the outcome, although if I painted it again there would be a few adjustments I could make.

Just a Side-trip....

I had this 8" x 8" stretched canvas that I wanted to do just a very simple painting on. This summer had been very busy and I wanted to paint something to help me relax. Nothing really noteworthy, but just fun.

  Fields of Daisies

         I love Daisies, so I decided that a field of them, uninterrupted would portray a settling effect for me. It calms me when I look at it....

Sunset Painting and Effects, an Original Oil Painting

I was commissioned to do another painting of "Forgotten Loves", however not really wanting to do an exact rendition I chose to do this one as a sunset. I think I like the results.

American Cafe #2

A commissioned piece with additions and changes from the original.. It was kinda fun painting this again as I had added more background and that beautiful Chevy Bel Air convertible! I can imagine riding in it on a beautiful summer day and feeling the wind in my hair, then stopping for a burger at this American Cafe!

Backyard Plein Air Painting Today!

What;s going on in my back yard? Getting a start on my orchard!

No better place to paint than my own back yard.  

I loved sitting out at my picnic table under the huge oak trees and painting. 

I also love having my own food supply! A few years ago when I moved back to Pennsylvania and acquired a little over and acre of ground with house, garage and barn, I planted asparagus, Blueberry plants and Red Raspberry plants.  Last year I put in a couple pear trees, and this year added 2 plum trees and an apple tree. I am looking forward to eating some fresh fruit from these in a couple years!!

I love a Spring Morning! Original Oil Painting by Rebecca Jennings (Sunny)

Spring Mornings... just when the snow is gone, grass is starting to green, and the tops of the trees are turning reddish, just about to burst open with new life! Another sure sign of Spring is the sighting of  the red-winged blackbird near the edges of ponds, or near open fields.

Royal Flush

I took this picture of my backyard a few evenings before Christmas.  This place is a haven for me, with my hen houses and colorful chickens, the rabbit pens where I listen to my bunnies munching on greens, and my raised bed gardens where I can get my hands in the dirt and harvest some good homegrown food!

This sunset over my special place just begged to be painted!
