"Snowy Winter Morning in Kentucky"
8 x 10 oil on stretched canvas
(NFS)
The deer have been coming up near the big Oak tree in our pasture early in the mornings looking for acorns, then move on into the field near our neighbor's pond which has been partly covered with ice. The deer seem so tame and friendly... until we step outside.
The broom-sage in the back field gives off a lovely orangish glow in the early morning.
Beautiful. Wish I had that barn in my yard :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous - you really captured the scene.
ReplyDeleteawwww, the illusive whitetail! They wear their name well.

Boy, I sure do feel like shivering, Sunny - that looks cold! I'm so impressed with your work. I love your deer, and also how you captured the remaining cornstalks back there, too. Good to hear from you, girl!
ReplyDeleteGreat work Sunny.Beautifully captured moment.
ReplyDeleteVickie, that is actually what they call "broom sage", in the background. It is a rusty orange color and so pretty this time of year when the atmosphere is right. Thats okay... I need to work on my plants more I guess, lol!
ReplyDeleteI can almost hear the crack of a rifle.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful Sunny! blessings,Kathleen
ReplyDeleteSo pretty ~ the picture just glistens like a fresh snowy day. AWESOME !!!
ReplyDeleteHi Sunny...this painting sure does look like a mighty cold day! Exactly what we're having in OH.
ReplyDeleteLove the doggie portrait in the preceding post...Well done!
