Cold and Snowy in Kentucky!

The deer have been coming up near the big Oak tree in our pasture early in the mornings looking for acorns, then move on into the field near our neighbor's pond which has been partly covered with ice. The deer seem so tame and friendly... until we step outside.

The broom-sage in the back field gives off a lovely orangish glow in the early morning.

This commission has been a challenge for me and I am glad to have it completed :) I am looking forward to finishing other paintings I had started in the summer and fall of last year, plus the 3rd painting of my Homesteading Series.
