Historic building -Ghost letters


"Old Elkton Cash Grocery"
Oil on 10" X 8" stretched canvas

This building now houses the State Farm Insurance Agency of Elkton KY. This painting was done at the Todd County Welcome Center looking across the street on the north side of the square. Finishing touches added later. Available at the Harvest Fest this Saturday in Elkton.

    Isn't it neat to preserve some history in one's painting! I did a small plein-air painting of an history old seafood place out on a long pier in Galveston, Texas, a few years ago. The last hurricane took it out. Now I'm so glad I have it - wonder if the old owners would like to buy it?????? hmmmmm...
