Finishing touches....

As I was putting the finishing touches on this painting, I realized I didn't like the dark background I had started out with... It was, well ..... stifling. These flowers just had to get out in the sun and fresh air, so thats where I put them :) I may add a leaf or two to the bottom just to "tie the flowers down".

  4. To Bloggin' about My Boys..... Thanks for the comments. I love pansys too, was my grandmothers fav flower. I tried to get a close-up view of your pick-up truck but when I clicked on your name it says you do not share your profile. Sorry I can't reach you. I am always looking for old truck photos to use in painting. Thanks for stopping by...

  5. Great job, Sunny! "Sunny" is what your painting is! Now see if you can find an old barnwood frame for it!

  6. Sunny that is an amazing and redemptive story about your coming through typhoid as a kid, and picking up the paints in the process! Oh what would we do without family!?
Stay off those mountain passes of Montana when its howling windy, no kidding!
    Have a great weekend

  7. They would look great hanging in my kitchen. I've got a sunflower theme going on in there. The sunny faces could smile back at me as I get my coffee each morning.
